Shianne Hernandez
“My family taught me how to be a team player. We’ve always done everything as one, as a big team, with so much support.”
There is no doubt about it, Shianne is a family girl, through and through – and we feel this makes her a strong asset to the DWS team. Adam and Rebecca knew Shianne personally prior to working at DWS, and they asked her to join the firm to bring her positive outlook, willingness to learn and her gift of treating others with kindness and care.
Shianne grew up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and she shares, “growing up was kind of hectic, I’ve always lived with such a big family. So it’s always been a household of my grandmom, my aunt, my other grandmom, my great grandmom. It’s always been so much fun – always had my cousins around, my little sisters – never a dull moment, always together, feels like a party every day.” Before joining DWS, Shianne’s professional journey included roles that required care and attentiveness. She initially worked at a daycare and later transitioned to an Ob-Gyn office, where she assisted doctors working with patients.
As an administrative assistant at DWS, Shianne ensures smooth day-to-day operations among our team members while providing superior customer service to our clients. She works closely with Adam and Rebecca to manage their workflow so that they can focus on advancing the company’s initiatives and goals. She is the first voice you hear when calling during regular office hours, allowing her to get to know and build rapport with our valued DWS clients. “I enjoy helping them with whatever they need, and I enjoy just talking to them. It’s nice for our clients to feel comfortable.” This is especially where Shianne’s welcoming approach and open heart really shine. “Anyone I meet turns into family, for me at least. I treat them like my cousin, my brother, my sister.” Outside the office, Shianne is an avid TV binge-watcher, loves cooking, hosting friends and family, and loves a solid brunch!
